Harpreet Singh Rai
Harpreet Singh Rai is the chief executive of Oura and a member of its board. His purpose is to be part of a team that is committed to improving population level health and wellbeing. Under his leadership, Oura has grown to a team of over 150 employees and has launched its generation 2 ring, shipping over 250,000 units to 98 different countries. He is responsible for Oura’s vision and strategy and guides decisions that ensure the organisation’s financial health.
In 2008, José Neves launched Farfetch, bringing together his interests in fashion and technology, as well as his experience in design, wholesale and retail, to create a business that would celebrate and support the diversity of the global fashion industry. His vision was to create a single portal, offering independent boutiques the opportunity to compete with the leaders of fashion e-commerce. Neves has been involved in the fashion start-up world since the mid-1990s when he launched footwear business Swear. José later founded Six London, a fashion licensing and wholesale company selling to 600 retailers worldwide. In 2001 Neves opened the renowned boutique Bstore, which won the British Fashion Award for Retailer of the Year in 2006.
Michael J. Wolf
Michael J. Wolf is founder and chief executive of Activate, Inc., a management consulting firm specialising in technology, internet, media and entertainment businesses. Previously, Wolf was president and chief operating officer of MTV Networks (now Viacom Media Networks). Prior to MTVN, he was global managing partner of McKinsey & Company’s Media, Entertainment and Information Practice. He was McKinsey’s first direct-elect senior partner hire, joining from Booz Allen Hamilton, where he founded and led the firm’s global Communications, Media and Technology Group. He was also a member of Booz Allen’s board of directors and executive management team.
Jennifer Hyman is the co-founder and chief executive officer of Rent the Runway, a company that is disrupting the $2.4 trillion fashion industry by pioneering dynamic ownership and enabling women to rent, subscribe to and purchase secondhand clothing. In her role, Hyman sets the strategic priorities and leads the company in growing all areas of the business, including marketing, technology, merchandising, supply chain and data science. She co-founded Rent the Runway in 2009, anchored by the vision to build the world’s first living closet, and the brand now offers apparel, accessories and home decor from over 700 designer partners via its in-house proprietary technology and one-of-a-kind reverse logistics operation.
The 23-year-old designer and founder of Against Medical Advice is an emergency department trauma nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and ambitions that go far beyond healthcare. Known as Wole to friends and as Guacawole online to his more than 15,000 followers, he set up an e-commerce business for his streetwear and home goods line, Against Medical Advice, last year and just linked with his first stockist, a new boutique on the Lower East Side in New York, Laams.
